Stringer Handling

System engineering for the most demanding requirements

We develop handling technologies for handling and transporting fiber composites such as stringers. These are widely used as reinforcement elements for shell-shaped components in state-of-the-art aircraft construction.

With our solutions, cured and non-cured stringers made from impregnated semi-finished product (prepregs) and dry fiber semi-finished product can be transported safely and carefully. Component geometries present a special challenge in stringer handling as slim components with a length of up to 30 meters with very low deforming tolerances must be handled.

Due to our know-how in the field of system and positioning technology we can offer systems that will allow the exact alignment of single stringers with the target structure (e.g. composite wing skin) and thus placing it directly on the actual target structure. This is how our customers will receive applications meeting the most stringent requirements with the maximum efficiency.
