In-plant transportation of work pieces, e.g. from one production system to the next, without the use of overhead cranes or hydraulic transport systems, is assuming an ever increasing role. CLAAS Fertigungstechnik has developed and designed an accurate, multi-directional transportation system named the Multidirectional Claas Drive, or short: MC-Drive. The high levels of precision and high payload are the outstanding features of this system.
