The many advantages of standardisation.

For the production of crossbeams, CLAAS Fertigungstechnik can supply you with one or several of out standard robotic fabrication cells, which feature innovative fixturing that are precisely designed and matched to your product.

These standard robot welding cells offer many advantages:

  • Low production space requirements.
  • Quick set-up and initial start-up at your site; the cells are transported to you fully assembled, wired and plumbed for operation. Simple subsequent relocation of a cell within your plant if necessary.
  • The complete installation (switchgear cabinets, robot control system, wiring) is included with each cell. Potential to integrate part load are also integrated.
  • Can also be used for other products by simple changing of fixtures.
  • Your production can be easily adjusted to changes in production volumes by adding cells. The number of robots is also variable.
  • Standard cells can be extended and coupled together using optional handling robots for complex multi-stage production processes.

Due to accessibility constraints, multi-stage production processes are often required for the manufacture of crossbeams. The large number of separate parts and weld seams also demand an innovative fixture concept and special procedures such as "cold metal transfer" to minimise the potential for component heat distortion.

Additional processes for the manufacture of crossbeams, e.g. the use of weld nuts and bolts, are also offered by CLAAS Fertigungstechnik in order to supply you with turnkey production lines.
