Inline measurement for dashboards/ car crossbeams

The customer knows the benefits

With an inline measuring system for crossbeams, individual workpieces are subjected to 100% testing of their dimensional accuracy. The key features of the system are:

  • Simultaneous measurement with 2 measuring robots
  • Checking of component dimensions
  • Checking part presence 
  • Measurement of threaded studs and pierce nuts
  • Measuring capability with tolerances of +/- 1.3 mm
  • Measurement of 90 characteristics in 35 seconds

The system is integrated into a fully automated measuring cell. Components are handled by a robot within the cell. Other features include:

  • Load and unload of parts on conveyors
  • Integrated part buffers
  • Automatic marking of OK parts
  • Separate rejection of parts that fail testing and printout of fault logs
